Local & environmentally friendly
Our wooden toothbrushes are made in Switzerland, Toggenburg (SG), using locally sourced beech wood. That is how we avoid long transportation routes and minimize the carbon footprint of our production – a win-win for the environment!
The wood used in our toothbrushes is FSC-certified, guaranteeing eco-friendly and socially responsible forest management. Beech wood’s strength, durability, and flexibility make it the perfect material for our toothbrushes. The handle, coated with plant-based wax, is fully biodegradable, making Liebwerk wooden toothbrushes a sustainable modern alternative to conventional plastic toothbrushes.

Smartly packed & sustainably disposed
Our Swiss wooden toothbrushes are packed in 100% plastic-free recyclable cardboard. Recycling of cardboard reduces waste and saves raw materials, contributing to lower greenhouse gas emissions associated with carton production.
Not only the packaging, but also the toothbrushes themselves need to be disposed of in an environmentally friendly way: after two to three months of use, simply snip off the brush head and dispose of it with household waste. The biodegradable wooden handle can be composted or creatively repurposed for DIY projects, like a plant label or plant support.
The PICEA™ wood tube
Our PICEA™ wood tube is made from 95% renewable resources, including 10% FSC-certified EU spruce wood and 85% sugar derivatives.
Not only is this tube food-safe and fully recyclable, it also results in a 40% less carbon footprint compared to traditional polyethylene (PE) tubes.
At Liebwerk, we strive to develop products that combine performance and sustainability. In 2022, our Neopac packaging received the ETMA “Tube of the Year” award in the “Plastics” category.
